Hyunyoung Kim

Hyunyoung Kim (University of East Anglia, University College London)

Principal Programme Officer, Korea Institute for Development Strategy

Hyunyoung is dedicated to people-centred development, specialising in international education. She worked on NGO projects in Malawi and Myanmar, focusing on teacher training and improving learning environments. She now coordinates Korean government ODA education initiatives. Her work includes supporting vulnerable youth in Indonesia and expanding access to quality education through distance learning in Uganda. 

Kwangje Kim

Kwangje Kim (University of Birmingham)

Director, Policy for Future Integration, PCNC *seconded from Prime Minister's Office

Kwangje has shaped migrant integration policies, emphasising language as key to integration. He led the creation of industry-specific Korean Textbooks, an Easy Korean Safety Manual, and language programmes for migrants at all life stages. He also advanced integrated education for native and migrant students and founded the Lee Myungjah Scholarship, aiding 100 disadvantaged students. 

Uijin Im

Uijin Im (University of Manchester)

Lead Consultant, Developiens 

Uijin is an international development professional with extensive experience in organisations and consulting firms. He has worked on projects in Myanmar, Mongolia, and the Philippines, focusing on improving quality of life. He received a commendation from Korea's Minister of Environment for his contributions to environmental projects. He also lectures on critical issues in Korean society, including income inequality, as explored in his book 'Society of Numbers'.
