Qualification Verification Service for UK education

You can apply for either : 

a. verification letter or
b. verification stamp.

a. Verification letter

The British Council can provide a letter confirming that your UK education qualification is genuine. We will check your qualification with the issuing authority for confirmation on their originality. The letter will be in both English and Korean, with a British Council stamp. Please note that the letter does not include your grades but ONLY specifies your name, major, qualification type, school, and awarding date.

b. Verification Stamp

We can stamp either the original document (on the reverse side) or a certified copy that we can provide.

The British Council can provide a letter confirming whether your education institution is registered with the Ministry of Education in the UK. The letter will be both in Korean and English, with a British Council stamp. Please note that this letter does not certify one’s attendance at or graduation from the institution.

The British Council can provide a letter to HRD Korea, confirming that your UK education qualification is genuine. We will check your qualification with the issuing authority for confirmation on their originality. This letter should only be used for HRD Korea’s National Qualification Testing application.

The letter will be in both English and Korean, with a British Council stamp. Please note that the letter does not include your grades but ONLY specifies your name, major, qualification type, school, and awarding date.

※ If you need verification stamp on your transcripts, please request it on your online application. The stamp can be provided with an extra fee of 40,000KRW.

1. Apply by filling in the online form. 
2. Make your payment, within 24 hours, to Citi Bank 0-015867-019 (British Council Korea). (For two days, this payment is refundable should you make a cancellation.)

3. You will receive an email from us when we have verified your education document.
4. Visit our office with your original education document.

※ It is the applicant’s responsibility to choose the correct type of service.
※ If you require verification on multiple degrees/qualifications, please apply each one separately. (e.g. if you need to get two degrees verified, apply twice.)
※ Please note that occasionally a UK institution does not respond and it is not possible to carry out this service.

• UK qualification verification letter or stamp
  - 80,000 won for three copies of the letter or verification stamps
  - Additional fee of 40,000 won will be charged per extra school document (transcripts, school letter, etc.)

• UK institution verification letter
  - 40,000 won for three copies of the letter

• Verification letter for HRD Korea’s National Qualification Testing application
  - 80,000 won for three copies of the letter
  - 40,000 won extra fee for verification stamp on transcripts
• Make your payment, within 24 hours after the application, to Citi Bank 0-015867-019 (British Council Korea). (For two days, this payment is refundable should you make a cancellation.)

※ Additional fee may be charged during the verification process with the UK institute/school.

• UK qualification verification letter or stamp, verification letter for HRD Korea’s National Qualification Testing application
  - Approximately ten working days, depending on the response time of the UK institution.

• UK institution verification letter
  - Approximately three working days, depending on the response time of the UK institution.
