Fashion designer and tutor

Gyouree Kim is a fashion designer. She studied in London in order to explore deeper into her design identity and research sustainable fashion methodologies. She believes fashion can be used as a visual narrative for her to translate human society into desirable, valuable and importantly imaginable objects that people can interact with. Her collection is a detailed, intricately layered quality array of garments through corset elements and a mix of historical and contemporary aesthetics. The collectable and valuable nature of her collection distances itself from fast fashion and the consumerist society of today. She values refined craftsmanship and makes use of mediums that would otherwise be overlooked or discarded as waste materials.

In 2022, she won the award from Big design award, where she showcased her first collection in Tokyo Fashion Week. Her second collection will be shown at London Fashion Week.
