Active Citizens is a social leadership programme which encourages intercultural dialogue and social responsibility considered as key leadership competencies in the 21st century. The Active Citizens programme promotes community-led social development. It motivates members of communities to take an initiative in order to address the issues they are facing in communities. It also provides them with the knowledge, skills and experience to make a social change. Moreover, the programme builds a global network for the people those who have the same objectives all over the world for much fairer and inclusive society.
Launched in 2009, Active Citizens has been delivered in more than 75 countries across the world, reaching more than 280,000 people to date through its training, conferences, social research and International Study Visits. More than 1,100 public and private sector institutions, universities, NGOs joined us as partners and11,272 Social Action Project (SAP) has been delivered through the Active Citizens as well.
