- How to request: Go to [Test Taker Portal] on the IELTS Online Registration System → click [Tests & results] → choose the test you want to transfer or cancel
- IELTS on computer at special price registration campaign is not affected by this existing policy.

Please note:
- If you cancel your IELTS test no less than 7 days before the test date, you will receive a refund of the IELTS exam fee minus an administration fee. Please note IELTS refund policy can take 4 to 6 weeks to process.
- If there are less than 7 days left between your initial payment date and your registered test date, you cannot request for cancellation.
- If your make your payment and request cancellation on the same day, you can get a full refund. In case your request made out-of-office hours fails or encountre systematic errors, send us your request in e-mail to exams@britishcouncil.or.kr before midnight on the day.
- If an original medical certificate confirming illness on the date of the test is provided within two days of the test date, IELTS refund policy is that the fee minus an administration charge is refundable.
- Only original medical certificates in Korean or English are accepted. If we have not received required documents at our office in Seoul by 2 days after the test, you will be marked as absent and forfeit all claims.
- Copies sent by fax or email are not accepted. We recommend sending medical certificates by registered mail.
- Please note that we do not accept sick notes issued by family members.

Please note:
- If you need to change the date of your test from the date you originally booked, you can request a test day transfer (postponement only) no less than 4 days before the test date.
- You can submit your test date transfer request HERE. We will review your request and process it by following the Transfer Policies of the exams for which you registered.
- Only postmonements(moving to the later dates) are available. In case you want to bring your test date forward, you will need to cancel your test then make a new test registration.
- You can only transfer the same booking once, and your test centre may charge an administration fee of up to 25% of total test fee.
- Please note that the new test date must be within the open dates available on the online registration system.
- In cases of illness, transfer is possible if an original medical certificate is provided within two days of the test date.
- In case of exceptional circumstances and special consideration cases(see below) occurred in the non-transferable period, send us the evidence or proof document within 2 days from your test date.

- Serious medical conditions which prevent you from attending or performing normally on test day; such conditions require supporting evidence or a medical certificate from a qualified medical practictioner.
- Evidence of bereavement, trauma or other forms of significant hardship
- Natual disaster, civil unrest, industrial action, etc.
- Military service
