Story time English

Junior Story time English 

Junior Story Time English is a course for 5-year-old children who will be starting school in the academic year after next. Each Junior Story Time English class is based around one real storybook with fun and motivating activities to follow, which encourage children to experiment with English for the first time.  

Story time +

Children attending Story Time English can now double their learning and development with our brand new course, Story Time +.This course features an additional weekly Story Time lesson, using the same storybook or song for deeper language exploration and enhanced understanding. 

English for Primary School Students

LEVEL 1 A/B

This course lays the foundation for success. From the beginning, children are exposed to language in such a way as to mimic their natural acquisition of their first language. Listening and speaking tasks are designed to challenge them in order to develop confidence, while still being achievable. Early reading skills are introduced through word and phonic recognition and good writing skills to sentence level are encouraged through carefully structured tasks.  

LEVEL 2 A/B

This course builds essential language for the skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking so that children can communicate meaningfully about themselves, their family and their classmates in structured activities. Their literacy is developed to the level of simple paragraphs.  

LEVEL 3 A/B

This course continues to develop children's ability to communicate together by increasing their range of language for use in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Children are encouraged to take part in longer spoken exchanges, challenging their spoken fluency. They also learn to read and write paragraphs with more challenging language and produce a number of short texts such as a postcards or letters.  

LEVEL 4 A/B

This course challenges students to use English with an increasing creativity and independence. Children are encouraged to use familiar vocabulary and structures with greater accuracy and integrate new language structures into their existing knowledge of the language to communicate in more depth.  

LEVEL 5 A/B

This course continues to build on children’s understanding of English grammar and vocabulary through interesting and motivating topics, including novels, ancient humans and inventions. Children are challenged to utilise new and familiar language to take part in extended discussions and role plays, as well as learn how to write a variety of texts including book reports.  

LEVEL 6 A/B

This course consolidates and expands children’s understanding of English grammar and vocabulary through interesting and motivating topics, including nature, charts and graphs, art and drawing, and film. Children are challenged to write a variety of texts including film reviews, expand their knowledge of the wider English community and participate in extended discussions which challenge them to clearly explain their feelings and ideas. 

English for Middle School Students

Secondary Level 1 A/B

Students listen, speak, read and write about a number of topics of interest to teens including describing their friends and their likes and dislikes, learning about different cultures and film and clothes. The focus is on encouraging students to take part in achievable speaking and writing tasks to develop their fluency.  

Secondary Level 2 A/B

Graded readers and a custom-made coursebook form the foundation of a course that provides students with the language and motivation they need to perform engaging tasks that activate grammar and vocabulary and develop spoken and written fluency.  

Secondary Level 3 A/B

Graded readers and a custom-made coursebook form the foundation of a course that provides students with the language and motivation they need to perform engaging tasks that activate grammar and vocabulary and develop spoken and written fluency. 

Secondary Level 4 A/B

Students will extend their language knowledge and be able to speak for longer about a broad range of topics including giving opinions and agreeing/ disagreeing with other people’s opinions as well as developing in the other skills. 

Secondary Level 5 

Students will be able to communicate in more complex situations, develop a more sophisticated vocabulary and as a result converse in English for longer and able to communicate opinion clearly in spoken and written form.

English for High School Students

Elementary 

A basic level course to enable students who have had little experience of experience speaking or listening to English to develop their confidence.  By the end of this level students will be able to communicate simply about topics that are familiar to them.

Pre-Intermediate

These levels are for students who have a basic foundation of English and who would like to have regular input and practice to develop the ability to communicate more effectively in everyday life and work situations. 

Intermediate

These levels are for students who have a functional level of English and who would like to have regular input and practice to develop a firmer grasp on the language and the ability to communicate in a wide range of life and work situations. 

Upper Intermediate 

These levels are for students who have an operational level of English and who would like to have regular input and practice to develop an effective ability to communicate in any English language situation they encounter.
