A special course for Primary Returnee students aiming at developing fluency and maintaining confidence 

On this course your child will

Communication

  • talk about and give an opinion on a range of texts
  • present to an audience using appropriate intonation
  • identify significant ideas, events and characters; and discuss their significance

Literacy 

  • write for different purposes, including real events
  • discuss and record words and phrases that writers use to engage 
  • use a range of sentence starters to create specific effects
  • write in paragraphs which can clearly signal a change in subject, time, place or event

Course Outline 

An Enquiry-based Approach 

We encourage our students to research, investigate and problem solve within topics, as well as developing critical thinking skills and producing real world tasks.

We believe that a child’s mindset is not fixed, but that children can develop their talents through hard work, determination and good strategies for learning when supported by input from others and collaborating with others in a safe and secure environment.

    Primary school grade 1–6 students

  • Course format

    • Two-year course, broken down into ‘A’ and ‘B’ years
    • Each year breaks down into two terms and each term starts in March and September
    • Two-hour lesson per day, twice a week
    • Four-hour lesson per day, once a week
