The British Council's Secondary Plus English course for teenagers aged 13 to 18 is offered at multiple locations in South Korea, including Seoul, City Hall and Seocho and Ilsan.

- Seocho: KRW 358,000 ₩
- Ilsan: KRW 278,400 ₩
- City Hall Centre: KRW 270,800 ₩
Duration: 5 months (February to July, September to February)

Develop life and study skills for a global world
Here's how these unique classes build spoken English and written English:
- Lively speaking classes build confidence in speaking English through activities such as presentations, fun debates, vlogging and interviews
- Teens develop life skills such as collaboration and leadership to help them succeed in future, and make friends along the way
- Teachers also set interactive, independent study on the British Council’s online learning hub. This helps students come to class fully prepared, able to focus on improving their English-speaking skills.

Activities in Secondary Plus classes in Korea
- Students have lots of time to speak English and practice English pronunciation with the teacher and classmates
- Students develop communication skills by working on projects in pairs and small teams
- Teenager builds up to a final project at the end of each module such as a presentation or blog. Hands-on activities build experience – and friendships
- Students practise the skills they need to succeed in school exams and international university courses
- Learning activities focus on real-world topics like artificial intelligence, gaming and climate change, to keep students engaged and motivated to use English
How the learning hub helps English learners in Korea make more progress
To help you get the most out of each class, your teacher will set you interactive, independent study on the learning hub to complete before and after class. This means you will come to class fully prepared so you can focus on improving your English-speaking skills
- Everyone learns in their own way. You will complete the independent study at your own pace, helping you to build your confidence to speak English and get ready for your future tasks are specially designed to develop reading, writing and listening skills
- The British Council learning hub is interactive. You use real-world English materials, such as magazine articles, job advertisements, film reviews, music podcasts and sports vlogs to improve your English grammar and vocabulary
- A personalised dashboard will help you to work on your projects and keep track of your progress, anytime.

Be yourself and build confidence in an inclusive learning environment
Our inclusive learning environment provides a space for you to be yourself:
- you will be in a class with others who have the same language level and are of a similar age
- your teacher will give you plenty of opportunity to express your opinions openly, helping you to gain confidence in speaking English

Technical requirements
The learning hub can be accessed using a desktop computer, laptop or tablet. We do not recommend using a mobile phone because we want to make sure all our students enjoy a quality learning experience.
You will also need a good wifi connection.
